Delays in Passport Processing

Due to a systems issue affecting global passport operations, there is currently a delay in the printing of passports that were approved at overseas passport facilities. Applications accepted between May 26 and June 3, 2015, are affected by this delay. If you applied for a passport during this timeframe, please contact the consulate to determine the status of your passport.  If you have travel plans within the next 10 business days, please consider requesting an expedited passport at the Western Passport Center in Tucson, Arizona.

If you need your passport sooner than two weeks, please contact the Western Passport Center in Tucson to schedule an appointment. 

After your passport is issued, you will collect your new passport at the consulate.  You do not need an appointment to collect your passport, simply arrive at the Consulate between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on a workday.  For passport books, you will be able to collect your passport approximately two weeks after your appointment while you will be able to pick up your passport card three weeks after your appointment.
