Electronic Application

The Consulate of the United States in Nogales would like to inform all visa applicants that as of October 15, 2006 the Electronic Visa Form (DS-156) application will be required. Visa applications will not be accepted for processing if the Electronic Visa Form is not complete. You may complete the form at the following web address:

Customer Service Statement to Visa Applicants

The Department of State manages the visa process strictly but fairly in order to best protect the United States. We are committed to the essential openness for which the United States has always been known. Travel to the United States is welcomed and encouraged.

How to apply for a Non-Immigrant Visa:

1. Set a visa interview appointment:

2. Present a receipt from BANAMEX Bank showing that you have paid the appropriate application fee.

Note that until December 31, 2007, the fee is $100.00 USD or it's MX Peso equivalent. After that date the cost will be increased to $131.00 USD. Please click here for more information and the children's fee.

3. Bring a valid Mexican passport and all previous visas.

4. Fill out the application electronically Visa Application Form (DS-156)

5. Males between 16 and 45 years old, fill out also the Supplementary Visa Form (DS-157)

6. If your previous visa was lost or stolen, file and present a police report.

7. Minors younger than 6 years old do not need to be physically present at the interview. Parents may apply on their behalf.
